MAXIMA

The MAXIMA consortium will hold its 30-month project meeting on 30 September – 1 October 2025, hosted by Höganäs AB in Helsingborg, Sweden.

This meeting will mark an important milestone in the project’s journey towards developing modular axial flux motors for next-generation automotive applications. Partners will gather to present progress across all work packages and to plan the next steps for the project.

The agenda will include presentations and discussions on:

  • Project management and coordination (ENSAM)
  • Electrical machine design (UTCN)
  • Digital twin for optimal control (UPC)
  • Manufacturing and recycling processes for mass production (ENSAM)
  • Life cycle management (VUB)
  • Drive prototypes: assembly and testing (eMotors)
  • Communication, dissemination, and exploitation (FEUGA)

A dedicated Digital Twin Workshop will give partners the opportunity to explore new approaches to prototyping and system optimization. The meeting will also feature a visit to Höganäs’ facilities, where participants will gain insights into advanced materials and processes that support the project’s ambition to deliver innovative e-mobility solutions.

The agenda even includes time to play the MAXIMA LCA game, an innovative and engaging way to better understand the project’s life cycle assessment approach.

By the end of the meeting, the consortium will define the action plan for the next project period, ensuring continued progress towards the delivery of efficient, modular, and sustainable electric drive technologies for the automotive industry.

We thank Höganäs AB in advance for their hospitality and look forward to productive discussions and collaboration.
