The MAXIMA project was present at PCIM Europe 2026, one of the leading international conferences in power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy, and energy management. The event took place in Nuremberg, Germany, from 9–11 June 2026, and brought together experts from industry and academia.
The project was represented by one of its academic partners, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, leading Work Package 4 – Digital Twin for Optimal Control, through the contribution of Oriol Subirats Rillo, Power Electronics Engineer.
Oriol presented the UPC contribution within the MAXIMA project “Design and Thermal Analysis of a Modular Power Converter for Axial-Flux Motors in Electric Vehicles” in the session «Low Power AC-DC and DC-AC Converters I».
The poster presentation took place on the opening day of the conference, offering attendees an early opportunity to engage with this work and discuss its implications.
This contribution highlights ongoing advancements in modular power converter design and thermal optimization for next-generation electric vehicle applications, key areas for improving efficiency, scalability, and performance in electrified mobility.
